Man drowns trying to save donkey

CHITRAL: A man drowned while trying to save his donkey in a remote area of Bumburate in the Kalash valley on Thursday.

Locals said Nasir, son of Mian Gul Gujjar, was fetching vegetables on the back of his donkey. While crossing a stream, the animal fell and was washed away.

In a bid to save the donkey, Nasir jumped into the water but drowned. His body was later recovered. 

The deceased is survived by two widows and several children.–Muhkam Uddin Ayuni
