One injured, roads blocked as rains trigger landsliding
CHITRAL: Torrential rains/snowfall continued across Chitral causing blockades of roads and triggering landsliding.
Rescue 112 said a boy, identified as Masoodur Rehman, was seriously injured after a landslide caused by continuous rain hit the house of Muhamamd Khan in Orghoch village of Lower Chitral.
The injured was later shifted to Peshawar in a Rescue 1122 ambulance.
Meanwhile, a vehicle going to Laspur valley from Chitral fell into the riverside near Barenis but 12 people travelling in the vehicle remained unhurt. Traffic to a number of valleys, including Terich, Oveer, Melp and Broghil remained suspended due to landsliding on the roads.
