KP asked to provide subsidy on LPG in hilly areas
ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Climate Change at a meeting here on Thursday directed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to provide subsidy on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in hilly areas of the province to save cutting of forests most for use as a fuel.
At a meeting chaired by Munaza Hassan, the committee also directed Special Secretary Forest Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to ensure cutting of trees is stopped in mountain areas of the province.
