Rescue 1122 responded to 1,050 emergencies

CHITRAL: Rescue 1122 responded to 1,050 emergency incidents of different nature in Lower Chitral in 2020 and provided assistance/services to 1,414 people.

A statement issued by the emergency service on Jan 1, 2021, said under the supervision of Emergency Officer Zafar Uddin, the rescuers shifted 190 suspected Covid-19 patients during the pandemic.

Moreover, in 599 medical emergency cases, the organization provided first aid and shifted patients to hospitals.

It also attended to 64 road traffic accidents and treated or shifted the victims to hospitals. During the year, 43 fire and 26 river drowning incidents were also reported to Rescue 1122.
