All schools in Upper Chitral closed due to harsh weather

BOONI: All schools in Upper Chitral, both government and private, have been closed due to the “abrupt weather change and unprecedented snowfall” in the area.

A notification issued by the district administration said the schools in Upper Chitral have been closed till the commencement of the winter vacations on the recommendations of the district education officers (DEOs) male and female.

Though educational institutions across the country were closed due to the spread of Covid-19 till Dec 24, schools in Chitral called selected classes and teachers on alternative day.

In routine, educational institutions observe winter vacations from Dec 24 till the end of February every year.–Sher Afgan
