Chitral cylinder blast leaves two dead, four injured

CHITRAL: Two people died in a gas cylinder blast in Jughoor Gol Deh near Chitral town on Friday. The deceased have been identified by Rescue 1122 as Shahi Bibi Taj, 60, of Jughoor, and six-year-old Basharat, son of Rehmat Elahi, from Kessu.

The blast occurred in the house of retired teacher Ghulam Rasool late on Thursday night. The blast also left four people injured.

The child succumbed to injuries while being taken to Peshawar. The women died at Sherpao Hospital on Friday. She was mother of Chitral University’s Prof Mohsinul Mulk Siddiqui.

The injured are admitted to the same hospital in Peshawar and their condition is stable.–Bashir Hussain Azad
