BOONI: A police constable from Rayin, aged 25, diagnosed with COVID-19 on Monday.
He was on security duty at a quarantine centre in Lower Chitral from 25th March to 20th May.
Now he has been shifted to emergency response centre in Booni. His condition is stable, Dr Sardar Nawaz of THQ Hospital Booni told ChitralToday.
A 37-year-old man from Torkhow also tested positive for the coronavirus on Sunday. He had recently returned from Peshawar.
With these two, Upper Chitral registered total 10 confirmed COVID-19 patients but nine of them have already recovered and sent home.
The district reported the first case on April 21, two days after the emergence of the first case in Lower Chitral.
