Seven held in murder case
ASHIRET: Seven people were arrested in Ashiret on the charge in a murder case registered by the police on May 3, 2020.
The police said the seven suspects were involved in the killing of Khyal Mohammed during a clash between two groups over a forest land dispute.
The Chitral police said the police in Ahiret acted promptly and arrested all the suspects after registering a case under section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code against them. It said the police were collecting evidence to present in court against the suspects.
Though heinous crimes are rare in Chitral, there have been murder cases in lower parts of Chitral such as Damel etc.
