CHITRAL: Shahi Masjid saw only 35 people for Friday prayers and other mosques also witnessed thin attendance amid the ongoing lockdown due to coronavirus.
DPO Waseem Riaz told media that around 839 people offered Friday prayers at mosques, which overall have a capacity for about 16,600 people in both Lower and Upper Chitral.
Shahi Masjid in Chitral town attracted only 35 faithful for Friday prayers while other mosques had around five worshippers each, he added.
