JI holds protest against inflation, flour crisis
CHITRAL: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chitral on Friday took out a protest rally against rising unemployment, price hike and the latest flour crisis.
Addressing the participants, JI Chitral chief Molana Jamshed Ahmed and other speakers severely criticized the PTI government and said it had become almost impossible for the common man to manage their kitchen as all basic food items were getting out of their reach.
They said the PTI came to power based on its promises of a change and corruption free society but after coming to power it started working just the opposite.
The people, especially in the remote and backward areas such as Chitral, have been reeling under the impact of rising inflation and unemployment and the flour crisis has come yet another shock for them, they added.
They said people have become fed up with the incompetent government and should launch a move to send the rulers packing.—Bashir Hussain Azad
