Chitral’s small Christian community celebrates Christmas today

CHITRAL: The small Christian community living in Chitral town is all set to celebrate Christmas on Wednesday (today).

Every year, officials from the district administration join them and present gifts before they celebrate the event.

On Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral Naveed Ahmed visited the Christian community to show respect on the Christmas eve and to create awareness among the new generation about the importance of the day.

Addressing the community members, the DC said Christmas contained a beautiful lesson to love the sick and the poor.

He also distributed food packets among the community members, said a statement posted by the DC office on social media.
