‘Volunteerism provides us spiritual satisfaction’
BIRZOZ (YARKHUN): Volunteers from Ismaili Council Yarkhun belonging to Bang and Birzoz villages carried out a repair work on the broken and ruined Yarkhun road from Bang down to Khotan Lasht near Brep, about 15 km.
The Ismaili volunteers also arranged pipes and installed them over streams to save the road from being frozen in the winter.
Since December 2017 when spiritual leader of the Ismili Muslims visited Chitral and met his followers in Booni and Garam Chashma, the volunteers have made it a tradition to repair roads and render other public services.
Young men repairing the road in Khotan Lasht said volunteerism gives them spiritual satisfaction as through it they could help people which was an essence of Islam.
Since the start of this month, Ismaili volunteers have been busy in repairing roads in Upper and Lower Chitral.
