Skiing resort to be set up in Kalash valley: PAF

CHITRAL: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan was on Friday informed by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) officials that a skiing resort would be set up in the Madah area of Kalash valley.

At a briefing in Swat, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) officers told the chief minister that the skiing resort would help promote tourism in the valley.

Earlier, the chief minister had an aerial visit of tourist spots in Swat and Chitral.

Before coming to Chitral, the chief minister also had an aerial survey of the areas coming under the Swat Motorway Phase II project.

Mr Khan said completion of the motorway and the Chakdara-Chitral road would not only open a new era of development but would also promote tourism in the area.

The chief minister told officials at a briefing in Swat that all the road and other projects in Swat and Chitral should be completed on a priority basis.
