ISLAMABAD: Member National Assembly (MNA) from Chitral Molana Abdul Akbar on Wednesday strongly reacted to a unilateral decision taken by the chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa about the Langlands School and College principal.

Talking to ChitralToday on telephone, he said the decision taken by the chief secretary about the controversy at the school was one sided as other stakeholders had not been taken on board.

“We completely reject the decision taken by the so-called BoG and the chief secretary. Who are you to take such a decision. I am the stakeholder? You cannot do this as I’m the stakeholder [and] not the BoG,” he warned.

He categorically said the decision taken by the virtually non-existent governing body of the school was not acceptable.

“I will not allow this no matter what as the real stakeholders who are the elected representatives of the area, the parents and the elders, must be consulted,” he warned.

He questioned how a BoG which had done nothing for the improvement of the school except approving hefty amount from the donations to the British principal can take such a unilateral decision.

The MNA warned the provincial government, the chief secretary and the commissioner Malakand division against taking such a unilateral decision without taking other stakeholders onboard.
