PRCS reaches out to flood-affected village of Golen

CHITRAL: Representatives of Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) on Saturday distributed relief items among the flood-affected people of Bunaka village in the Golen valley.

The relief goods, including blankets, tents, canes of water, lanterns and mosquito nets were handed over to members of nine households.

Speaking on the occasion, Khurshid Mugham Advocate thanked the PRCS for helping the victims but regretted that so far the government agencies had not been forthcoming in providing relief to the locals.

He said there was an urgent need for the restoration of water supply and reconstruction of the road to the area as people in the valley were still cut off and the water supply pipes washed away by floods.–Syed Nazir Hussain
