Awareness programmes held on school safety day

CHITRAL: On the occasion of National School Safety Day, students and local people were informed about measures and steps to ensure safety of students and teachers in case of natural disasters.

The awareness programmes were organized by Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) in connection with the National School Safety Day in different parts of Chitral.

The events were held at govt high schools in Booni, Harchin, Susum and Arkari. During the events, mock drills were arranged to show how to act in times of natural disasters for safety of students and others.

The day is being organized since 2008 in order to create awareness in community to minimize impact of natural disasters.

during this period, awareness sessions have been arranged for students and teachers in both government and private schools across Chitral.
