Work order issued for construction of RCC bridge at Osiak

DROSH: The communications and work (C&W) department has issued work order for construction of a RCC bridge to connect Osiak with Drosh town and other parts of the district.

According to the work order issued by the chief engineer (north) of the department (available with ChitralToday), an amount of Rs101.332 million would be spent on the 106 metres long bridge.

The contract for the project has been awarded to Muhammad Khan and Co as he offered the lowest bid.

A suspension bridge at Osiak connecting Jinjirait, Jinjirait Koh, Ursoon and Sweer villages with the rest of the district was damaged by flash floods in 2015.

The suspension bridge was repaired at that time but on the demand of the residents the government decided to build an RCC bridge in the area.

After construction of the RCC bridge, people of these villages would be able to remain connected with the town areas without any hurdles.
