Winter Sports School inaugurated in Madaklasht

DROSH: A winter sports school, the first of its kind in Chitral, was inaugurated in Madaklasht valley near Drosh on Monday.

Vice Air Marshal Aasim Zaheer, who is also the president of Pakistan Winter Sports Association, declared the Hindukish Winter Sports School open at a ceremony held at the Chitral Scouts cantonment here.

Children of the area will be taught the art of snow sports such as skiing. The air force officer on the occasion also distributed winter sports kits among children.

Speaking on the occasion, he said chairlift would also be installed in Madaklasht to facilitate tourists visit and see the beauty of the valley. –GH Farooqui
