Young man jumps into river, rescued by onlooker

CHITRAL: A young man reportedly jumped into the river near Denin while crossing it on a chairlift on Wednesday. However, an onlooker rescued him by swimming into the water and called Rescue 1122.

Rescue 1122 staff reached the spot and provided the youth first aid and then shifted him to hospital.

The youth was identified as Haider Ali, son of Mirdullah Khan, a resident of Karimabad valley. He worked at a barber shop in the Chitral bazaar.
