Work on Garam Chashma, Shandur roads to complete on time, meeting told

ISLAMABAD: A meeting co-chaired by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan and Federal Minister for Communication Murad Saeed in Islamabad on Thursday reviewed progress of work on long-distance roads in KP.
The road projects are being executed by the National Highway Authority (NHA).
A number of decisions were made on the occasion so that these works could be expedited and completed well on time.
The meeting was told that a number of roads would be completed ahead of time.
These roads include 369 km Gilgit-Shandur-Chitral road, 82 km Chitral-Garam Chashma-Durah road and Lowari Tunnel road.
The meeting was informed that the Garam Chashma Chitral-Durah Pass road had been federalized.
The chief minister directed that the land record etc. of the road should also be entrusted to the NHA.
