Qaqlasht festival in first week of April

BOONI: The Qaqlasht festival committee today decided to hold the annual festival in the first week of April this year.

The festival has been celebrated in the Qaqlasht plateau near Booni for many years to promote the Khow culture including the traditional games and sports of Chitral.

The committee reiterated that inclusion of all traditional games of Chitral such as polo, tug of war, musical show etc., as well as paragliding, cricket, volleyball and football would be arranged during the event.

The participants said that due to the plenty of rainfall this year, Qaqlasht would become very green in April and the visitors would also enjoy from the natural beauty of the area.
