She was interested in working in early child education and knew well that without an intensive research the challenges and hindrances in early childhood education could not be overcome. As such a research work was possible only at the Aga Khan University (AKU), Ms Khan succeeded to cross all the hurdles in reaching the prestigious institution to acquire the degree in early childhood education and return to serve in her native area.
The topic of her research work was “Mothers’ perceptions on the role of play in early years.” Ms Khan carried out her research work in Upper Chitral during which she had the opportunity to meet mothers and know their problems and the negative impacts of that problems on the education and upbringing of the children.
Soon after receiving her degree in Karachi, Ms Khan returned to Chitral and started working with the Professional Development Centre (PDC).
