School buses in Chitral fined for overloading

CHITRAL: School buses in Chitral were fined by traffic police overloading. The buses belonged to private as well as public sector schools and colleges.

An official of the traffic police said the Private School Regulatory Authority (PSRA) had sent a letter to the police for taking action against any school and college vehicle found overloading. He said the step had been taken to ensure safety of the students.

The police official was seen stopping school buses near Chew Bridge and issuing to all those carrying students beyond their capacities.–GH Farooqui
