PESCO sends inflated bill to domestic consumer without meter reading

CHITRAL: For years there have been complaints that PESCO staff in Chitral sends monthly bills to consumers without meter reading.

As a result, sometimes the consumers receive inflated bills and have to run from pillar to post to get them corrected.  A woman belonging to Singoor complained that she used not more than 100 units of electricity per month.

But the power utility company sent her a bill of over Rs129,000 showing that she had consumed 4,564 units in September. She called upon the authorities concerned to take notice of the matter as it caused mental agony to her family.–GH Fraooqui
