CHITRAL: A group of people from Shishi Koh held a protest in the town against alleged embezzlement in forest royalty in their valley by influential people who they said have formed a bogus forest management committee to missappropriatae the funds.
They reached Chitral town on Thursday expecting to bring their complaint in the notice of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar who reached here on a private visit on Wednesday night but fell ill.
On Friday morning, the protesters gathered at Shahi Masjid road where the CJP was expected to come for Friday prayers. They were carrying placards and chanting slogans against the alleged misuse of the funds.
