Drive launched to plant 40,000 saplings in Golen valley

CHITRL: Deputy Commissioner Khurshid Alam Mehsud launched a tree plantation drive in the Golen valley of Chitral by planting a sapling.

Over 40,000 trees are being planted in the area as a part of the federal government’s Plant for Pakistan programme.

The DC said the district administration in collaboration with the forest department had earlier planted saplings in lower parts of Chitral and now the drive was being extended to areas located in upper Chitral.–GH FarooquiTree plantation drive launched in Chitral.
