PESHAWAR: Caretaker Chief Minister Dost Muhammad Khan has ordered allotment of land to Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission to establish a cancer hospital in Chitral.
The CM issued the direction at a meeting attended by caretaker health minister Akbar Jan Marwat, minister for information Zafar Iqbal Bangash and health secretary Abid Majeed.
The chief minister also ordered immediate stoppage of charges from critically ill patients brought to emergency units of government hospitals.
He said free treatment facilities, availability of staff, life-saving drugs and all equipment in emergency departments of hospitals should be made available round the clock.
