Tributes paid to Bhutto on 39th death anniversary

CHITRAL: Like other parts of the country, the 39th death anniversary of PPP founder and Pakistan’s first elected prime minister was observed in Chirtal on Wednesday.

In this connection, a gathering was held in which local PPP office-bearers and activists paid tributes to Mr Bhuto’s services for the cause of democracy and people’s rights.

They said Mr Bhutto sacrificed his life for democracy but never compromised on principles. They said it was the need of the hour to follow the footsteps of Mr Bhutto in order to promote democratic values and put Pakistan on path of a social welfare state.–Nazir Hussain
