'Like MQM, district govt created no-go areas in Chitral'
In a statement on Monday, Bashir Hussain Azad said some double roads have been made one way cutting off a number of areas for the commuters as there is no alternative to reach that areas. Through the new arrangement, the administration has provided no relief to the local people but created lots of hardship for them. He said under the new arrangement, many bazaar areas have become no-go areas for the local people. This has also created problems for patients visiting the DHQ hospital. He said the previous arrangement never caused any problem for the commuters while the new system brought no relief to them. All these arrangements were made by the local administration without taking the traders into confidence, he added. He said the administration should convene a meeting of the elected public representatives and traders and abolish all the no-go areas otherwise the affected people have the right to approach court against it.]]>
The trade representative has miserably failed to twist the story. Twisting or angling is an art. It is not a joke. If you want to hit someone with a stroke of your pen, you must learn the art first.
Flowing traffic is not much problem in Chitral bazars. It is the wrong parkings that hamper traffic. Chitral town has not developed to the stage to have one way roads. Instead the police should be made more efficient to regulate traffic and prevent wrong parkings. That should be OK.
