Abductor of married woman arrested
Police have arrested a man for abducting a married woman from Yarkhun.
The police identified the man as Jamil Ahmed, son of Rehmatullah, resident of Langorbatt, Arandu.
It said the police also recovered Sakina Bibi, wife of Javed Iqbal. The police claimed that they arrested the man when he was taking the woman to his home village after abducting her from her village.
The married woman belonging to the Povur village went missing four days ago. Local residents told ChitralToday correspondent in Bang early on Saturday morning that the woman was a native of Zupu and married to a man in Povur.
The woman was in the house of her parents in Zupu when she disappeared leaving behind her minor daughter. The locals said the husband of the woman was in Saudi Arabia for work.
A police official, when contacted by ChitralToday, said earlier that the woman had eloped with a man belonging to the Langorbat area of Arandu. He said the suspect from Arandu was working in a powerhouse in Yarkhun.
The official said police teams were conducting raids in the native village of the suspect in Arandu to arrest him along with the woman.
