Ex basketball player of Chitral Scouts passes away

Mirza Hayat, alias Piler (best player), was widely known for his valour, courage, dutifulness, best performance as basketball player, simplicity, honesty and patriotism. Mirza Hayat was born in a small village of Garam Chashma in the year 1933. He served in Chitral Scouts from 1951 to 1976. At the age of 43, he retired. The deceased was a key basketball player in the Chitral Scouts and had also been part of the Frontier Corps team. Furthermore, after retirement he led the Chitral Border Force. He was father to a son and five daughters. Mr. Altaf Hussain, Accountant at AKS Ovirk, is his only son. The deceased was father-in-law of current Deputy President of ANP Chitral Mr. Qurban Ali (retired Subedar Major). Also, he was the grandfather to Muhammad Nabi, Lecturer at Aga Khan Higher Secondary School Kuragh, Chitral. On this irreparable loss, our condolences go to his son and other family members. Wepray that may Allah bless the family with the courage to endure this almost unbearable loss (amen).
