Prince Aga Khan arrives in Islamabad on 12-day visit of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prince Karim Aga Khan, the 49th Imam (spiritual leader) of the Shia Ismaili Muslims, arrived in Islamabad on a 12-day official visit of the country on the invitation of President Mamnoon Hussain.
He was received at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport by Minister for Foreign Affairs Khowaja Mohammad Asif, Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Anser Aziz. The Aga Khan, during his 12-day stay in Pakistan will also meet his followers in Chitral, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad and Karachi. Preparations by the Ismaili community in the northern areas for the Didar of their Imam have been finalized.
