Three govt officials arrested for corruption

CHITRAL: Three government officials have been arrested on charges of corruption to the tune of millions of rupees in Chitral.

According to a report published in a local Urdu website,, Abdul Jalil, food grain supervisor, and his accomplice Usman Khan of the food department, have been arrested for allegedly swindling Rs12 million and an inquiry against many other officials is underway.
The third suspect arrested is Yasir Ali, who got himself employed in the revenue department as a patwari against a fake certificate. Anti-Corruption Officer Chitral Mohammad Yaqub said no one found involved in corruption would be spared.
