A questionable practice by TMA Chitral

CHITRAL: Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Chitral involved in a questionable practice of using fire brigade vehicles to hose down roads to clean them before any VIP visit Chitral.

Recently, when PTI Chairman Imram Khan and KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak visited Chitral, the TMA even used the fire brigade vehicles to hose down the roads in the town without even bothering to realize that washing any road with such a pressure would damage it in the long run.

But when this correspondent contacted Assistant Commissioner Chitral Abdul Akram, he said before hosing down the road the administration had consulted an engineer. The AC claimed that hosing down a road in pressure never damaged any road.—Gul Hamaad Farooqui
