Literary bodies vow to jointly work for Khowar
CHITRAL: At a meeting held to discuss ways and means to promote the Khowar language, representatives of different literary organizations vowed to join hands and work together to achieve the desired result.
The meeting attended by representatives of Khowar Ahle Qalam and the Mother-tongue Institute for Education and Research (MIER) was held at a local hotel.
The participants acknowledged that the lack of coordination among the literary organizations in Chitral was the main hurdle in the way of promoting the language. They however vowed to devise a strategy to eliminate any hurdle in bringing all the literary organizations closer.
During the meeting, a check for Rs10,000 was handed over to MIER president Farid Ahmed Raza by the Khowar Ahle Qalam for the publication of Khowar Nama, a journal of MIER.
