  1. pashto and yidgha, along with wakhi, persian, balochi and a few other languages belong to the iranian branch of indo-iranian languages, which may explain the similarities. however, they don’t belong to the indo-aryan branch of the indo-iranian languages like khowar and kalasha-mun.
