Tsunami plantation drive launched in Drosh

DROSH: A plantation drive got underway at a ceremony held here today.

Addressing the participants, MPA Bibi Fouzia said the government was determined to plant billion of saplings in KP to overcome deforestation. The DFO said the local community should be involved in the campaign for the ownership of the plants and trees to save them.

Local people thanked the provincial government for starting the plantation drive which will play a vital role in ensuring a clean environment. The MPA on the occasion launched the drive by planting a sapling.

They also distributed free plants among the local people as well as people from other areas.
