He also directed that all MPAs and heads of all tiers of local governments to chalk out effective mechanism at the district level for checking performance of the devolved departments as well as schools, hospitals and other services facilities in their respective districts and also take measures to redress complains against such institutions.
Responding to various phone calls in his Complaint Cell at CM Secretariat on Monday, the chief minister said village councilors had already been directed to keep vigilance over education and health institutions as well as district departments to check their service delivery and performance and inform concerned forum if they find any wrongdoing in them.
He, however, directed that all PMAs and district and tehsil nazims should also be involved in this vital task and they all should devise a comprehensive joint strategy for monitoring the devolved departments and services facilities in order to ensure up to the mark performance thereof.
The chief minister said a welfare city would be established on Cherat road for the poor, orphans and special children wherein they will be provided with education, health, shelter, sports and other necessary facilities free of cost. He also asked the chairman complaint cell to take up his proposal for providing welfare facilities for the needy destitute with Minister for Social Welfare.
