Besides the volunteers, personnel from the army and officials of different government departments took part in the drive led by DC Chitral Osama Ahmad Waraich.
The participants of the campaign, including a large number of citizens and schoolchildren, also held a walk in the Chitral bazaar area. They were carrying banners inscribed with slogans stressing the need for environment preservation to maintain the green character of the valley.
