Compensation cheques given to 100 families

In this regard, a ceremony was arranged by AC Drosh Basharat Ahmed which was attended by local notables, including Qari Jamal A Nasir, Hyder Abbas, Irshad Mukarar and members of the district council Sher Mulammad, Mehmudul Hassan, Sher Muhammad from Arandu and others. Nazims and councilors from different village councils were also present on the occasion. Speaking to the gathering, AC Basharat Ahmed said the release of cheques to the affected families had been sped up on the directions of the DC Chitral. He said that the remaining families would also get compensations as per the government rules very soon. Local notables lauded the speedy process by the district administration and also demanded to provide more relief and assistance to the affectees.
