HANDS’ district coordinator Zulfiqar Cheema said the manager BLSO contacted his organization regarding the flood destruction in Chitral and seeking assistance for the affected people.
Upon this, HANDS representatives decided to assist the flood-hit people in Chitral.

“After that, we started an assessment and already distributed shelter kits among 250 partially damaged households. Now we are distributing blankets, plastic sheet, solar light sleeping mates, CGI roofing sheet and wooden roof beams among the 500 families whose houses were fully damaged,” he added.
