Action sought against AIOU Chitral officials

BOONI, Aug 23: Due to the unprofessional attitude and incompetency of the officials at the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Chitral office, hundreds of students, including females, are facing mental agony after losing their academic years.
aiouSome of the students of CT and PTC courses told ChitralToday that the officials in the AIOU Chitral office set up exam centres at a distance of over 70 kilometres from their houses. Later, on the complaints of the students, the officials concerned agreed to allow the candidates to appear in the exam in their nearest centres.
However, the AIOU officials did not inform the students about their decision on time. And when the students managed to reach the centres in the far-off centres after facing troubles, they were marked absent and failed in the exam for no fault.
The affected students criticized the university’s Chitral office management for certaing hardship for them and then declaring them fail. Some of the female students also demanded that the administration of the university in Islamabad should take action against the officials in Chitral for palying with their future.

    The gov should take actiön imediately otherwise the students wil loss their time and chance to apply for posts. If it continue the people of the area will lock the center.
