Snow brings life to standstill in Garam Chashma valley

CHITRAL, March 7: The incessant rain/snowfall has cut off all links to the Garam Chashma, bringing routine life to a standstill in the valley. Reports said due to landsliding the main road to Garam Chashma remained blocked at Makhalbai for the last five days. As a result, the supply of essential commodities to the area has been suspended creating a severe food shortage for the residents. Seven feet of snow had been recorded at Gobor Bakh on Saturday morning. A number of houses built in the hilly areas have been buried under avalanches.]]>
