Govt creating food crisis in Chitral: MPA

Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Cub along with MPA from lower Chitral Salim Khan, he expressed concerns over the shortage of food items in the landlocked valley. He said that for the last many weeks, trucks carrying essential commodities for Chitral could not enter Chitral from the Dir side. He alleged that some government officials were deliberately trying to create a famine-like situation in Chitral. He said the district with a population of about 0.7 million was being kept deprived of all essential food items as the area remained cut-off from the rest of the world due to the closure of roads.]]>

  1. What about the promise of resigning if tunnel was not opened for three days a week by 10 February? Was that a joke with the people?
