AKHSS Chitral teacher admitted to PhD programme

CHITRAL, Jan 16: Raja Fazale Raqeeb, a teacher from upper Chitral, has been given admission to a PhD programme at the University of Karachi.

He belongs to the Chuinj village of Chitral and is brother of senior bureaucrat Raja Fazle Khaliq. Mr Raqeeb did his master in Urdu literature from Karachi University and later completed his MPhil from the same university under the supervision of a renowned scholar,

Dr. Zafar Iqbal. The topic of his MPhil thesis was, “Chitral Me Urdu Zuban o Adab Ka Tehqiqi wA Tanqidi Mutalia”.

For the PhD thesis, he has been given the topic of “Iqbal ki Mukhtasar Tareen Nazmon ka Tehqiqi wa Tanqidi Jaiza.” He is currently teaching at Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Chitral. Mr Khaleeq is also a regular contributor to literary magazines. His article,”Urdu Nama ky Lisani Khidmat ka Tarufi Jaiza”, and “Iqbal ke 4 Aham Talmihat aur Unka Pasmanzar aur Wajh e Tasmia”, got published in Tehqiq, a literary magazine published from Jamshoro University, Sindh.

Another article, “Chitral aur Chitrali Mosiqi” was published in Jazba of Karachi University.
