Speakers at JUI conference criticise MPA

CHITRAL, Jan 7: Some speakers at a conference organized by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) at a hotel on Thursday criticized MPA Salim Khan for accusing ex-MPA Haji Ghulam Muhammad of corruption. jui1The conference was presided over by Qari Abdul Rehman, the Amir of the JUI Chitral. Wali Mohammad Zeb and Molvi Mohammad Ilyas criticized the PPP MPA for what they said defaming Ghulam Muhammad after the latter joined the JUI. They said in the past Salim Khan never uttered a word against GM but after he joined the JUI the MPA from lower Chitral had started a campaign against him. Addressing on the occasion, district khateeb Maulana Fazal Maula said 61 Muslima countries collectively have armies consisting of six million personnel but due to the disparity and disunity the Muslims were being beaten in Philistine, Afghanistan, Iraq and other parts of the world by non-Muslims and Israel. He stressed upon different groups of Muslims to adopt Quranic teachings for their success because Quran and Hadith were the only way of relief and success not only for the Muslims but also for all human being. He said we have become westernized in the name of modernity. He stressed upon all Pesh Imams of mosques to teach Quran with translation and Hadith to create awareness among the youth about the philosophy of teachings of Quran.
