CHITRAL, Dec 20: The 12-day cooking training for women concluded at the Northern Citizens Community Board (NCCB). The event was held to improve the cooking skill and introduce different varieties of the centuries-old traditional cuisine of Chitral among the young generation. Master Chef Gulnaz given different training to the participants. The short cooking course was conducted by NCCB Pakistan under the supervision of Master Chef Pakistan 2014 award winner Gulnaz . The participants were trained and taught about the methods of cutting , baking and cooking traditional foods , continental food, Thai food, Chinese food, fastfood, Afghani food, Kashmiri food and many more. On the completion of the training, a function was held to award certificates to the trainees. Former provincial minister and MPA Saleem Khan was chief guest on the occasion who distributed the certificates. Talking to this scribe, some of the participants said that after attending the training session, they were able to prepare best food with fewer items. They can now also entertain their guests by presenting them varieties of traditional food. Addressing on the occasion, Shahzada Ibrahim Pirzada, Managing Director of NCCB, said that his organization was working in different sectors like adult education, promoting trout fish, handicrafts and cooking training for women to empower and enable them to gain their livelihood with honor.
