Peshawar varsity admin promises to resolve issues of Chitrali students

PESHAWAR, Nov 13: MPA from Lower Chitral Saleem Khan visited Peshawar University to listen to the problems faced by Chitrali students.

The MPA was invited by the Chitral Students Association in order to meet the high officials of Peshawar University. The MPA along with the delegates of Chitral Students Association met Director Admission, Treasurer and the Provost of Peshawar University, and discussed various problems of Chitrali students.

The students association demanded quota seats for Chitral in English Department (evening), Quid-e-Azam College and the allocation of quota seats at BS level. Besides, the problems of hostel cards were also discussed with the provost.

The delegation also met the treasurer of Peshawar University with whom the problems of those students were discussed whose names were missing in the prime minister’s fee reimbursement programme. Some students from Chitral have not been given their fee back in the announced scheme, whose data were given to the treasurer who promised the return of fees to those students very soon. The director admission said the issues of seats will be discussed at the time of seats distribution for the next session.

The provost also said the hotel problems of Chitrali students will be addressed, especially process of hostel cards for females will be made more easy. The delegates of Chitral Students Association had already met the director admission for seats problem.

The delegation of students consisted of President Naushad Jan, Pattern-in-Chief Salim Yousuf Rumi, General Secretary Aslam Baig Rumi, Vice President Mukhtar, Chairman Shahed Bin Zakaia and young journalist Amjad Ali. Earlier in the morning, the MPA met Chtrali female students at the department of sociology and they also discussed various problems of female students.
