Eight injured in traffic accidents

CHITRAL, Nov 7: Eight people were injured in two separate road accidents on Lowari pass on Saturday. The injured were taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Drosh. The Drosh police said  a vehicle coming from Dir overturned on the Lowari top. As a result, two people were injured. Some people were going towards Dir side in a pick-up to receive their relatives coming from Haj. The vehicle was hit by a Datsun coming from the Dir side. In the accident, six people were injured. The injured were brought to the THQ hospital in Drosh. Their relatives said due to the shortage of medical and paramedical staff, the injured were not provided proer treatment and sent home even though one of them was unconscious.—GH Farooqui]]>
