CHITRAL, Oct 24: As many as 18 passengers going to Peshawar from Chitral were injured in a road accident in Malakandc on Friday evening.
Assistant Commissioner Dargai Kashif Qayyum told ChitralToday on phone that the Hiace (R4771) van skidded off the road while negotiating a turn near the Malakand pass. The injured included Sharifullah, Nizamuddin, Abdul Wadood, Muhammad Jehangir, Buzurg Shah, Faizur Rehman, Sharifullah, residents of Oweer; Muhammad Ishaq of Drosh, Iqraruddin and Nazir Ahmed, residents of Chitral town; Ali Muhammad, Sher Babar, his daughter and Akhtar Hussain of Mastuj and driver Muhammad Zafar of Drosh.
Rescue teams reached the area and shifted some of the injured to Peshawar. However, witnesses said the condition of the injured was not life threatening.–Nazir Hussain]]>
